(Seria, 8th) Organized by the Chinese Language Education Development Center and hosted by Liaoning Normal University, the 2025 “Chinese Language Education · Chinese Language Teachers” training program has successfully concluded, with 74 participants from various countries around the world.
Ms. Tao Meihua, Principal of Jiuting Chinese School in Brunei, was invited to participate in the fourteen-day learning journey, which yielded fruitful results. At the graduation ceremony, she was awarded a Strategic Cooperation Partner Certificate, further strengthening friendly cooperation and educational exchanges between schools.
This training program was themed “Innovation · Integration · Inheritance,” with course content covering contemporary China, interpretations of traditional Chinese culture, the application of AI technology in Chinese teaching, case studies, and more, balancing theoretical depth with practical operations.
During the training, participants systematically studied the latest concepts and teaching methods in Chinese language education, and deeply explored the development trends and innovative paths of overseas Chinese education through classroom interaction, group discussions, and onsite observations.
Principal Tao stated that the fourteen-day study schedule was intensive and fulfilling, inspiring her at a conceptual level. The Liaoning Normal University teaching team was rigorous and engaging, with a scientifically designed, rich, and diverse curriculum—offering both academic depth and practical value. She believes this training allowed her to re-examine the meaning and mission of Chinese language education, see the unlimited possibilities from the integration of AI technology and language teaching, and gain clearer direction on enhancing classroom interaction and optimizing teaching resources.
In the cultural experience segment, Principal Tao and the participants visited Liaoning Normal University's Affiliated School and No. 2 Affiliated School to observe teaching, and visited Dalian City Music Hall and Dayun Library Art Museum to experience first-hand the vigorous development of contemporary Chinese education and the arts. She expressed that these activities deepened her understanding of Chinese culture and allowed her to appreciate the educational spirit of “educating and nurturing people through culture and literature.”
At the graduation ceremony, Principal Tao received the Strategic Cooperation Partner Certificate on behalf of Jiuting Chinese School. She stated that this is both a recognition and a responsibility. She emphasized that Chinese language education is not only about language transmission, but also about cultural preservation and emotional continuity. In the future, Jiuting Chinese School will continue to uphold a spirit of openness and cooperation, strengthen academic and teaching exchange with Liaoning Normal University and educational institutions elsewhere, explore innovative models for overseas Chinese education, and cultivate more Chinese language educators with an international perspective and cultural confidence—thus promoting the dissemination and development of the Chinese language and culture overseas.
