(Bandar Seri Begawan, 8th) The 2025 TAIB Super Volleyball League (LSST) Amateur Division recently concluded successfully at the National Sports Complex, with Warisan Belait 'A' taking the championship, Brunei Legacy 'B' securing the runner-up spot, while Brunei Legend and Binglu Tengah Tanah Jambu Warrior 'A' were both awarded joint third place.
The champion team of the Amateur Division received BND 1,500 in cash, a trophy, and victory medals; the runner-up team received BND 1,000 in cash, a trophy, and victory medals; while each of the joint third-place teams received BND 500 in cash, a trophy, and victory medals.
In individual awards, the Best Captain went to Zairul of Warisan Belait 'A', the Best Spiker was won by Khairul Razmin of Brunei Legacy 'B', and the Best Server was awarded to Inya Adullah from Warisan Belait 'A'.
In the Advanced Division, Muara Spurs 'B' were crowned champions, Majlis Sukan Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei 'A' took the runner-up spot, while Miharbi and Muara Spurs 'A' secured third place respectively.
The champion team of the Advanced Division received BND 5,000 in cash, a challenge trophy, a trophy, and victory medals; the runner-up received BND 3,000 in cash, a trophy, and victory medals; while the third-place team received BND 1,000 in cash, a trophy, and victory medals.
For individual awards, Advanced Division Best Captain went to LPKL 6220 Ariftin of Majlis Sukan Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei 'A', Best Spiker to LPKL 6178 Chadi, and Best Server awarded to Syarul from Muara Spurs 'B'.
The closing ceremony was officiated and the prizes presented by Acting Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Dato Juanda.
The 2025 LSST TAIB season attracted a total of 46 top teams to participate. The event was organized by the Brunei Volleyball Association (PESTABARU), with the Department of Youth and Sports and the Brunei Islamic Trust Fund (TAIB) as co-organizers.
The event aims to discover new volleyball talent, incorporate them into athlete development programs and the national team, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle through mass participation and reviving traditional volleyball sports.
