(Singapore, 28th) Singapore will launch the Singapore Digital Gateway (SGDG), integrating various types of public digital resources to make it easier for decision-makers and organizations from all countries to access Singapore’s experience in digital governance and transformation.
Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo announced on Friday (September 26) on Facebook that SGDG is an online knowledge and resource platform that showcases Singapore’s digital initiatives and digital public goods. It covers more than 30 practical resources, including governance frameworks, AI testing toolkits, open-source solutions, and digital transformation blueprints.
She pointed out that SGDG is not only a repository, but will also provide capacity-building support for partners through the Singapore Cooperation Programme, and work with international partners such as the World Bank to translate Singapore’s digital experience into concrete actions.
Teo said: “Singapore has always adhered to the philosophy of ‘Tech For Good’. Although we are merely a small red dot on the map, we remain committed to contributing to the common good of Singapore and the world. By sharing challenges and solutions with our global peers, we hope to help countries better understand the risks, create more opportunities, and work together to build an inclusive and trusted digital future where everyone can thrive.”
This announcement is the latest development during Teo’s working trip to the United States. On Thursday (September 25), she attended “The Next 3 Billion Summit 2025” held during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and officially announced the launch of SGDG at the inaugural Global Dialogue on AI.
During her speech at the summit, she pointed out that Singapore’s ability to attract companies to anchor their key operations here is not only due to its neutral geopolitical environment but also its strong fundamentals, such as well-developed infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and respect for intellectual property.
Teo also wrote on Facebook that the discussions on how to leverage AI for development reinforced a simple yet powerful truth: the future is brighter when countries support one another and grow together.
Josephine Teo is currently visiting the United States for work, with her itinerary covering New York, Washington D.C., and San Francisco.
