U.S. President Trump stated on the 12th that White House Press Secretary Levitt will step down at the end of this month.
He wrote on social media that Levitt's reason for resignation is to spend more time with her children and family.
Trump pointed out that Levitt is one of his most trusted aides. She will become one of his key external advisors and will continue to play an important role within the Republican Party, helping the party win the midterm elections.
Levitt confirmed on social media that she decided to resign in order to care for her two young children, and Trump has invited her to continue serving as an external senior advisor.
Levitt previously served as Assistant White House Press Secretary during Trump's first presidential term and was his spokesperson throughout his 2024 campaign. In January 2025, after Trump returned to the White House, the then 27-year-old Levitt became White House Press Secretary, making her the youngest person in U.S. history to hold the position.
