(Tanjung Manis, 11th) The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)’s strength and achievements in leading Sarawak’s development stem from a strong sense of team spirit, complemented by high-quality leadership and a high degree of commitment from the entire administrative system.
Dato Fazruddin Abdul Rahman, Chief Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier, pointed out that GPS’s success was not achieved overnight, but is the result of a long and challenging process—much like building a formidable football team.
He likened this success to the rise of Kuching City FC’s prowess on the national stage.
"If we look at a football team, it’s just like a state government led by the ‘head coach’—the respected Sarawak Premier. The results we hear on TV, radio, and newspapers aren’t achieved in just a day or two but are accumulated bit by bit over a long period of time. Commitment and discipline, just like in football, are needed,” he said on August 10th during the Political Secretary’s Outreach Program at the Tanjung Manis Pusaka Furniture Industrial Complex.
He said that to become an outstanding team, you not only need a good coach or leader, but also professionals and high-quality players working together for success.
“Excellent athletes require training, discipline, and professional abilities in their respective fields. In the context of the current Sarawak government, we have a team of high-quality leaders who can help implement many people-centric development agendas,” he explained.
He added that the stability of the GPS government has enabled the smooth implementation of development agendas centered on the people’s well-being.
As a stable government, GPS is committed to driving developmental transformation, always putting the interests of the people first to ensure the best possible development direction for Sarawak and all its citizens.
