(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) The Chinese Navy’s Task Force 83 (Qi Jiguang and Kunlun Shan), currently on a goodwill visit to Brunei, delegated 40 officers and soldiers led by Political Commissar Kang Junwei of Task Force 83 to Pusat Ehsan, a well-known Bruneian nonprofit charity organization, to carry out public welfare visits and cultural exchange activities, with the assistance and coordination of renowned Bruneian Chinese artist Hwang Whee Fun. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei, the officers and soldiers continued to write a new chapter in the friendship between the two militaries and peoples with their practical actions.
Kang Junwei and his delegation arrived at the center and warmly shook hands and had cordial conversations with Datin Hajah Noraini, the executive director of the center’s management committee. After listening to the introduction about the center’s development, both parties watched the center's promotional video together, gaining in-depth knowledge about its long-term work in providing education, rehabilitation, and social integration services for people with special needs.
After watching the video, the visiting team donated daily and educational supplies such as stationery, picture books, and warm clothing to the 25 students participating in the activity at the center.
After the donation ceremony, the 40 navy officers and soldiers were divided into two groups to interact simultaneously: Reading Companion Group: The officers and soldiers entered classrooms to enthusiastically read picture book stories aloud to the children, communicating with them at eye level with patience, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
Facility Maintenance Group: The other group brought paint, rollers, and other tools to repaint and repair the aging walls in public areas of the center, improving the learning and living environment with practical action.
