Remembering Late Kings, Queens and Princes: Sultan Attends Royal Mausoleum Ceremony

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 27th) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei yesterday attended a memorial ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum on Tutong Road.
This ceremony was held in remembrance of the late Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, the late Queen, and Prince Abdul Azim.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Badaruddin and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Dato Mohd Daud.
Accompanying His Majesty were his sons and brothers, including Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, the Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Prince ‘Abdul Malik, Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, and Prince Jefri Bolkiah.
The ceremony began with Chief Syar'ie Judge Pehin Salihin reciting the opening chapter (Al-Fatihah) of the Quran, followed by a memorial prayer and supplications for Allah’s blessings upon the Sultan and Brunei.
During the ceremony, His Majesty sprinkled holy water on the gravesites of his parents and son, followed by his sons and royal princes who took part in the holy water sprinkling ritual.
Attendees included palace dignitaries, cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, the Minister of Home Affairs, and permanent secretaries, as well as the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, and members of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Board.
