Taiwanese superstar band “Mayday”’s 5525+1 “Back to That Day” 25th Anniversary Tour in Hong Kong had its originally scheduled show on the 24th canceled. To compensate ticket holders, besides offering refunds, fans could also use their tickets to attend a special open rehearsal. For the first time ever, Mayday fully opened up their highly secretive concert rehearsal to the public, drawing 20,000 fans to the venue. While originally expected to let the audience watch just 40 minutes of rehearsal, Mayday went all out and performed for a full hour, with fans eagerly praising, “This one was even more worth it.”
Regarding the inconvenience caused by the original show’s cancelation, Mayday also sincerely apologized on site. Ashin stated: “Because of various reasons, our original gathering was canceled, but Mayday has kept you in our hearts all along. Thank you all for still coming to the venue today. Besides expressing our apologies here to you and online to those seeing this, we hope in the future, you’ll still have a perfect, complete concert experience—with me, with you.”
