On Sunday morning (August 10), the city center of Niphat Uthit 3 Road in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Thailand, witnessed a solemn annual spectacle—the grand 22nd International Ten Thousand Monks Alms-Giving Ceremony. More than ten thousand monks gathered together to receive offerings from devotees, creating a magnificent scene.
This grand event was jointly organized by multiple parties, including the 4th Army Region of Thailand, Hat Yai City Council, the International Education, Religion and Culture Foundation, the Hat Yai Protection Association, as well as the Buddhist Laymen Association of Butterworth, Malaysia.

The attending sangha not only included venerable monks from all 14 southern provinces of Thailand, but also attracted monks from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and other places. Among them, the internationally renowned Taiwanese Master Hai Tao also attended in person to form a Dharma connection with the public. The event symbolizes the continuation of cross-border Buddhist exchange and the compassionate spirit.
Some of the dry goods and daily necessities collected at the venue will be donated to the sangha and military and police units in the four southern provinces of southern Thailand, spreading love and care. The event chairman, Lieutenant General Pongsanu Nusang, commander of the 4th Army Region, also led everyone in reciting the Refuge Verses, dedicating the merits to all directions.

Songkhla Deputy Governor Jirawut Manijot and Hat Yai Deputy Mayor Nirupon Jaronpunyaporn and other officials also attended to offer congratulations. To welcome the event, devotees held a ceremony the day before to release 165 head of cattle and pregnant cows, symbolizing compassion for life and boundless merit.
