(Serdang, 3rd) A bus carrying 35 kindergarten teachers and children lost control and crashed into a roadside tree, resulting in one teacher and three children being injured.
Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fairlee stated in a press release that the accident occurred at noon yesterday on Persiaran Universiti 1, near Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Police received a report at 12:18 pm.
"Initial investigations revealed that a 44-year-old man driving the bus suddenly lost control while driving straight, causing the bus to skid and crash into a tree on the left side."
He noted that one teacher and three children sustained minor injuries and received outpatient treatment at Serdang Hospital. Police have arrested the driver and are investigating under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police also urged anyone with information to contact the Serdang District Police Headquarters at 03-80742222 or visit the nearest police station to provide information.
