Tony Leung Promotes New Film 'Silent Friends' in Nanjing, Calls Himself a Lucky and Hardworking Actor Who Enjoys Solitude

Hong Kong film star Tony Leung recently appeared in Nanjing to promote his new film "Silent Friends." During the event, he shared his love for solitude as a personal philosophy, admitting that he would sometimes "retreat" on weekends—turning off his phone, avoiding books and TV, and not contacting anyone for two days. "I didn't see anyone, and found those two days to be very comfortable."

Talking about his experience filming the new movie, Tony Leung said the entire process brought a fresh experience. "From the first day of shooting to the last, I was very happy and under no pressure," except for the preparation period, which required a lot of reading. It took him three months to finish a single book, which was the biggest challenge of the entire process.

When asked how he has maintained his passion for acting over the decades, he laughed and said that he never considered himself a great actor. "I’m just a lucky, hardworking actor with principles," always facing each project with a simple desire to make movies.
