(Bandar Seri Begawan, 12th Jan) At the Brunei Hokkien Association Youth Group 2024 Annual Members Conference, Group Leader Cai Xinzhe stated in a speech that in 2024, the Youth Group will be fully engaged in the group's activities, organizing many events and assisting the council in hosting certain activities. They also attended many invitations, both domestically and abroad, making it a fulfilling and busy year for the Youth Group.
The Brunei Hokkien Association Youth Group 2024 Annual Members Conference was held today at the association.
The group leader continued, as 2025 arrives, the Youth Group will also welcome its 25th anniversary. A series of activities will be organized in 2025 to celebrate this hard-earned milestone.
Developing and expanding the Youth Group has always been a challenge. The committee members have worked tirelessly in their roles, hoping to continue this persistence and further promote the Youth Group, bringing glory to the council.
To the Youth Group members who have already joined, I am deeply grateful, especially to the committee members for their relentless efforts. To the young members who have not yet joined, I warmly welcome you to join this "small family" and help develop it into a "big family."
He stated, young people have innovative thinking, full of vitality, and advanced knowledge, which is needed by the Youth Group. We hope young members of this association can participate in this group that allows you to showcase your talents and elevate the Brunei Hokkien Association to a higher level, leading the Youth Group to greater heights.
The group leader also took this opportunity to thank the Youth Group's executive committee members for their hard work over the past year, for actively participating in the planning and promotion of activities with the Youth Group and the council, and for successfully completing tasks entrusted by the council. We hope you continue to hold an unwavering passion for the group's activities.
In addition, heartfelt thanks to the council and advisors for their long-term guidance and support, allowing each Youth Group activity to proceed smoothly. Thanks to the council for valuing and trusting the Youth Group, which further strengthens our belief in supporting the council, taking the council's spirit of dedication to the association as a model, and striving to seize the advantage of youthful vigor, unleashing unlimited potential and moving forward together with our association.
The group leader then officially announced the start of the Brunei Hokkien Association Youth Group 2024 Annual Members Conference. Next, Youth Group Secretary Lin Sini and Treasurer Lin Shiqin will report on the group's activities and finances for 2024.
After the Youth Group Secretary Lin Sini presented the affairs report, Treasurer Lin Shiqin followed with the financial report, covering the financial year from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.
He stated, the Youth Group's income was BND 4,560, an increase of BND 2,290 compared to last year; expenditures were BND 3,737, an increase of BND 1,846 compared to last year.
He said that this year the Youth Group's account surplus was BND 823, an increase of BND 444 compared to last year. As of September 30, 2024, the Youth Group's account balance was BND 9,149.83.
