UMNO respects today's Court of Appeal decision regarding Datuk Seri Najib's appeal case, and will continue to strive for justice for the former Prime Minister.
UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid also expressed gratitude to the Sultan of Pahang for confirming the existence and authenticity of the "additional decree" regarding Najib's house arrest.
"The authenticity of this 'additional decree' confirmed by the Comptroller of the Palace of the Sultan of Pahang proves the accuracy of the supplementary affidavit submitted by me and Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy earlier in support of Datuk Seri Najib's petition."
In the statement made by Zahid on Facebook on Monday, he also appealed on behalf of UMNO to the King, asking him to exercise his rights granted under Article 42 (1) and (2) of the Federal Constitution to show mercy, wisdom, and justice in granting Najib a full pardon.
Ahmad Zahid also expressed sincere thanks to all UMNO members and loyal supporters for their unwavering support and prayers.
