SINGAPORE: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is set to share Sarawak’s achievements and aspirations in renewable energy at the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2025 Summit.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), he is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on Oct 27 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, where global leaders and prominent figures in the energy sector will also share their views and expertise.
Among the attendees are Sweden Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Business and Industry Ebba Busch; Singapore Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng; Indonesia’s Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Eddy Soeparno; Australia’s High Commissioner Allaster Edward Cox; and Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Francesco La Camera.
Prior to his keynote address, Abang Johari is also scheduled to hold high-level discussions with delegations from Swiss-based commodity trading firm PFYN Capital AG, MASDAR (also known as the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), and Blueleaf Energy/Chemsain.
SIEW serves as an annual platform for energy professionals, policymakers, and commentators to exchange best practices and solutions for the global energy landscape.
Organised by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore, SIEW 2025 will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions under the theme “Envisioning Energy Tomorrow, Building Systems Today.”
Other highlights include the Singapore-IEA Forum, Singapore-IRENA High-Level Forum, SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW TechTable, and the SIEW Thinktank Roundtable.
