(Brunei, 6th) Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) reaffirms its commitment to provide seamless banking services across all branches during regular banking hours.
In the past, the bank extended its operating hours on specific dates to better assist customers who required counter services.
With the growing popularity of digital banking platforms such as BIBD NEXGEN, BIBD BizNET, and self-service terminals (ATM, CDM, CQM), the need for these adjustments has significantly decreased.
For all branches providing counter services, including headquarters, Kiulap, Seri, Muara, Selayun, Morodok, Tutong, Tanjung Bunut, Tanjong Bungah, Panaga, and Kuala Belait, the operating hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 11 AM, and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM; closed on Sundays and public holidays.
These operating hours also apply on government salary issuance dates every two months.
The increasing preference for digital solutions, particularly among elderly customers, has enhanced efficiency and convenience, reducing dependence on branch counter services.
The bank encourages customers to continue utilizing digital platforms to meet their everyday banking needs.
BIBD, in collaboration with the Brunei Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry and the Royal Brunei Police Force, recently launched a digital community, emphasizing digital and cybersecurity education and awareness for vulnerable groups, including the elderly, which has been well-received by the public.
