LAWAS: Two boys escaped unhurt after a non-permanent structure house collapsed in Kampung Seberang Masjid Lama, Awat-Awat here this morning.
A rescue team member administers first aid to one of the boys who sustain minor injuries.
Both occupants, aged 18 and 12, were asleep during the incident, and no other occupants were in the house at the time.

They managed to get out of the house on their own before rescuers arrived, and neither sustained serious injuries.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said it received a distress call at 10:02 am and a team from the Lawas station was immediately dispatched to the scene, located about 39 kilometres away.

“Upon arrival, the team found that a non-permanent structure house had completely collapsed,” it said in a statement today.

It added that the team conducted a size-up at the scene, and no rescue operation was required.

“Checks were conducted on the two individuals, and basic first aid was administered before they were advised to seek further medical attention at the hospital,” the department said.
