Maktab Sains Holds STEAM Project Exhibition

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th) – Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan (commonly referred to as “Maktab Sains”) recently held its 2025 STEAM Education Week at the school’s auditorium, sports hall, and examination hall.
The three-day exhibition showcased the project outcomes from Year 7, 8, 9 and pre-university students, all based on the STEAM concept.
Invited to attend the closing ceremony of the STEAM showcase, and serving as the guest of honour, was Ministry of Education’s Senior Special Officer (Professional Matters) at the Department of Schools, Haji Metussin Bin Haji Jais.
During the event, invited guests and judges attended the scene, including officials from the Ministry of Education, representatives from some primary and secondary schools, Year 6 Pre-University Centres, the delegation from the National University of Singapore’s School of Science and Mathematics, and Maktab Sains staff, students, and parents.
Attending guests also visited each exhibition booth and interacted with the project participants.
One of the goals of this year’s STEAM project is to foster students’ positive attitude and interest in how STEAM can be applied to create solutions for global challenges, and to promote achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through collaborative, sustainable, creative, and innovative approaches.
Also present at the event were the school’s principal, Pengiran Hajah Rahmah binti Pengiran Haji Abas, and other guests.
