(Miri, 17th) A sudden fire broke out in a shed storing a generator in Lutong, and the Miri Lutong Fire and Rescue Department quickly responded to the report, successfully controlling the blaze in a short time. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
This generator shed fire incident occurred yesterday (16th) at Simpang 3, Kampung Pasir, Lutong. The Miri Lutong Fire and Rescue Department received the report at 7:55 PM and promptly dispatched fire trucks and personnel to the site for rescue operations.
According to the on-site commander’s report, the burning structure was a 5x8 feet temporary shed used for storing generator equipment, and it was separate from residential buildings, posing no threat to nearby houses.
Upon arrival, the firefighting team swiftly initiated RECEO firefighting actions, using a 200-foot hose and a nozzle, drawing water from the fire truck’s tank to extinguish the fire. After about 7 minutes of effort, the fire was controlled, followed by cooling and cleaning works to ensure there was no risk of reignition, and safety lines were set up.
