(Miri, 17th) A yacht fire occurred in Miri Marina Bay early this morning, engulfing about 40% of the vessel in flames.
Miri Central Fire and Rescue Department quickly rushed to the scene upon receiving the report and successfully controlled and extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The yacht fire incident occurred at 3:44 AM today (17th) at Miri Marina Bay. After receiving the report, the Miri Central Fire and Rescue Department immediately dispatched an FRT fire engine (BMD 4427) to the rescue.
According to the on-site commander's report, the burning vessel was a yacht approximately 15 meters in length, and the fire affected about 40% of its area. Upon arrival, the fire team promptly launched a RECEO firefighting operation, using a 400-foot hose with a nozzle, and drew water from the fire engine's tank to fully extinguish the fire. After about an hour of effort, the fire was successfully put out. The on-site commander then conducted a safety assessment, confirming no risk of re-ignition before leaving the scene.
