(Bandar Seri Begawan, 18th) Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has carried out a series of impactful community charity activities during Ramadan 1447H/2026, fulfilling its commitment to social responsibility and striving to improve the lives of vulnerable groups.
This annual Ramadan initiative is organized by the RB Welfare and Religious Committee, supported by employees and community partners. The activities cover multiple regions, including charitable donations and collaborative projects aimed at strengthening community bonds.
RB’s Ramadan activities started on February 27, 2026, with a social charity event providing assistance to families in need in the Belait District. Basic food items and essential daily supplies were delivered directly to six designated families, ensuring they could better prepare for Ramadan.
At the same time, RB joined with Society for Community Outreach & Training (SCOT), cabin crew volunteers, and its "Elevate Warmth" team to launch a CSR food production and distribution drive on March 5-6, 2026, preparing and distributing hot iftar meals to the underprivileged in the Brunei-Muara District.
This initiative aims to address food security issues and ensure vulnerable groups receive proper nutrition during Ramadan.
Continuing its tradition of supporting partners and frontline teams, RB also distributed iftar meal packs at Brunei International Airport on March 6, 2026, to RB staff and stakeholders. This gesture recognizes the contributions of airport personnel to daily operations during Ramadan.
RB’s Religious Committee hosted its annual Quran Recital Completion Ceremony and Wakaf Donation event at Zainab Mosque in Lumut on March 11, 2026, where employees gathered to collectively complete the month-long Quran recitation for Ramadan.
The highlight of RB’s Ramadan events was the "RB Orphan Care Gathering" held on March 13, 2026, at Tarindak D’Polo. Organized in collaboration with Sabre Travel Network Brunei, donations were presented to 43 school-going orphans aged 7 to 21.
