A total of 221 children, parents, and committee members enthusiastically participated, creating a warm and solemn atmosphere.

The ‘Offering to the Buddhas and Sangha’ event is one of the regular activities of the children’s class, and aims to allow students and parents to experience the meaning of offering to the Sangha.

Venerable Weizhi addressed the audience, introducing the origin of the Ullambana Festival and the significance of offering to the Sangha. Through Buddhist stories, the venerable helped the children understand the connection between the Ullambana Festival, filial piety, and gratitude, reminding everyone to cherish the time they spend with their parents and families.

Offering to the Sangha is not just material support—in fact, it is even more important to cultivate a heart of generosity and gratitude. By offering to the Triple Gem, performing acts of kindness and charity, and dedicating the merits to one’s parents, relatives, and all sentient beings, the children learn from a young age to implement the teachings of Buddhism in daily life.

Attendees took part in morning chanting, bowing to the Buddha, listening to the Dharma talk, and carried out the offering to the Buddhas and Sangha ceremonies. Everyone offered necessities and vegetarian food to the masters, putting the merits of giving into practice. The event concluded perfectly at 11:45 AM with the meal dedication chant and transferring of merits.
