Awang Mohd Fadillah Takes Over as Head of Sarawak Economic Planning Unit

(Kuching, 14th) The Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU) has officially entered a new phase as Datu Ir Awg Mohd Fadillah Awg Redzuan officially took over the position of Director from Datu Lester Matthew at a handover ceremony held here yesterday (January 13).
According to reports by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit, the handover ceremony took place at the Bapa Malaysia Building in Kuching, symbolizing the formal change of leadership at the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit. The event was witnessed by Sarawak Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.
In his speech, Muhammad Abdullah highly commended Lester's contributions during his tenure, noting his significant role in strengthening strategic planning, policy coordination, and promoting Sarawak EPU development projects, as well as praising him for consistently maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism throughout his service.

While welcoming Awang Mohd Fadillah to his new post, he also expressed confidence in the new director's leadership abilities, believing that he will follow the Chief Minister of Sarawak's governance vision and further advance the state's economic agenda.
In his speech, Lester expressed gratitude to Muhammad Abdullah for his continuous guidance and support during his tenure. He also thanked all officials and staff of the Sarawak EPU for their cooperation, dedication, and commitment.
Meanwhile, Awang Mohd Fadillah expressed his gratitude to the authorities for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to leading the Sarawak EPU with integrity and professionalism. He stated that in the future, the focus will be on promoting sustainable and inclusive development to support the state's long-term growth objectives.
