KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- Creating an anti-bullying framework in educational institutions, driving digital education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) are among the main focuses of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Budget 2026.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said that apart from that, focus is also given to efforts to empower preschools and raise the potential of students with special educational needs.

She said this was achieved as a result of dialogue and consultation sessions carried out with various stakeholders in the education sector.

"In the context of education, this budget is very important because it is closely related to the implementation of several important agendas being implemented by the MOE such as the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2026-2035 and the New School Curriculum 2027," she said in a Facebook post today.

Fadhlina also shared about her recent discussion session with Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan which she described as an opportunity to thoroughly discuss budget initiatives within the scope of education.

"Budget 2026 which is the fourth series in the MADANI Budget focuses on efforts to restore fiscal resilience, strengthen economic fundamentals and raise the standard of living of the people. This is done based on the MADANI Economic Framework.

"Highest appreciation and gratitude to Senator Finance Minister II and his team for the consideration given. We are looking forward to Budget 2026," she said.

According to the Parliamentary calendar, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the Minister of Finance, is scheduled to table the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026 at 4 pm in Dewan Rakyat, Oct 10.
