35th Mile Chung Hua School Successfully Holds Children's Sexual Education Course to Help Establish Correct Values

(Kuching, 29th) To enhance children's awareness of bodily autonomy, sexual safety, and online risks, 35th Mile Chung Hua School successfully organized a two-day, 8-hour "True Love Goalkeeper" children’s sexual education course on the 27th and 28th, benefiting all 35 sixth-grade students and helping them build self-protection awareness and correct values.

This course was jointly invited by the Dalat Methodist Sung En Church and the 35th Mile Chung Hua School Board, with the Sibu Methodist Youth Center Kuching team as speakers. Through systematic and interactive teaching methods, students were guided to understand bodily boundaries, learn how to protect themselves, and improve their awareness of online safety.

As society increasingly focuses on issues of child safety and sex education, the organizers believe that children should establish the correct concept of bodily autonomy early in their growth, learn to identify dangerous situations, and cultivate healthy interpersonal relationships and values. Therefore, it is hoped that through professional courses, students can be provided with practical and age-appropriate sex education content.

The course content covers bodily autonomy, sexual safety, online social risks, and self-protection skills, and incorporates explanations, interactive activities, situational discussions, and case sharing in various teaching methods, allowing students to participate easily while learning to respect themselves and others, and master coping skills in the face of potential risks in both the real and online worlds.

"True Love Goalkeeper" course has been held for three consecutive years and continues to receive support and recognition from schools and parents. In the future, efforts to promote children's sex education will continue, with the hope that through the joint efforts of schools, families, and churches, a healthier and safer environment can be created for children’s growth, enabling them to protect themselves and also learn to respect others and cherish the value of life.
