(Miri, 27th) The Miri Preschool Education Fellowship will hold the 2024 Chinese storytelling contest for children on December 1 (Sunday) from 8 am to 1 pm at the Miri Digital Library. The aim of the event is to enhance children's language skills and Chinese proficiency, while also inspiring their interest in literary works.
Participants are required to narrate positive, child-friendly stories that are healthy in content, with a time limit of 4 minutes. Props may be used, but music accompaniment is not allowed. Scoring criteria include story content, tone and pronunciation, creative performance, and presentation style, with a total of 100 points.
The contest offers a variety of prizes including Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, Special Excellence Awards (3), and Encouragement Awards (5), all of which come with trophies and certificates.
The organizers remind parents and participants to adhere to the competition rules, and the event does not allow children under 4 years old in the venue.
