After being deported by Taiwan for advocating for forceful reunification, mainlander Liu Zhenya (Yaya) spoke out for the first time in 45 days, stating that "Taiwan has no right to deport Chinese people."
According to Taiwan's "Up Media", Liu Zhenya released a new video on Douyin on the 13th. This is the first time she publicly discussed her deportation after returning to mainland China.
Liu Zhenya claimed that Taiwan's Minister of the Interior, Hsu Kuo-yung, pressured the Immigration Department to politically persecute her, handling her case with the highest standards, and using deportation as a pretext to expel her.
She said: "It should be understood that the term 'deportation' is used between countries, and since Taiwan is a province of China, they have no right to deport any Chinese person from Chinese soil."
Liu Zhenya also stated that she will continue to demonstrate her stance with actions in the future, saying, "No matter how wide the Strait may be, it cannot separate the bond between a mother and child; no matter how far apart the two sides may be, they cannot travel further than hand in hand."
Mainlanders Yaya, Enqi, and Xiaowei were all expelled from Taiwan for promoting forceful reunification online.
According to a poll result on April 24 from the Mainland Affairs Council's website, nearly 68% of the Taiwanese public support the government's decision to expel Chinese mainland spouses who advocate for forceful reunification remarks.
