(Bandar Seri Begawan, 8th) After the successful completion of the "Why Do You Sing?" sharing session at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, led by Malaysia's renowned music mentor Dr. Jinv Huang Fanshuo, the organizer donated the event’s surplus funds to several local Chinese schools as school funds and for educational development purposes. This practical action is a way to give back to society and support the continuous development of Chinese education.

The beneficiary schools this time include Kuala Belait Chung Hua Middle School, Tutong Chung Hwa School, Sungai Liang Chung Hwa School, and Seria Chung Hwa School. The relevant funds will be used for teaching resources, campus facilities, optimizing students' learning environments, and long-term school development planning, further enhancing the overall quality of education.

Some sponsors also personally attended the donation ceremony, witnessing how the achievements of cultural events are transformed into educational public welfare, demonstrating the ongoing support from all sectors of society for the development of Chinese education.

Individuals and units who participated in and supported this event include Xu Xin, Fang Jinxing, Yang Dezhen, Yang Zhensheng, Huang Hanku, Sun Shengli, Lin Wei'an, Zhuang Xishan, Sun Dean, Huang Nenglou, Huang Yiqiang, Lin Mingguo, and Bao Pingsheng, among others.

The organizer stated that from the planning stage, this event aimed to establish a "culture gives back to education" platform, allowing music and culture to be not only forms of artistic expression but also forces that drive positive societal development. By converting the outcomes of the event into educational resources, it further embodies the social value and continuity of cultural activities.

The organizer pointed out that in the future, they will continue to promote more activities that combine culture, education, and public welfare, so that social resources can more effectively flow back to the education sector and support the long-term development of local Chinese education.

With the event’s surplus funds donated to local Chinese schools, all beneficiary schools have expressed their gratitude and affirmed the important significance of society’s long-term support for Chinese education.

Dr. Zhang Guijuan, principal of Kuala Belait Chung Hua Middle School, expressed sincere thanks on behalf of the school for the longstanding care and support for Chinese education from all sectors of society. She pointed out that education is a long-term project that requires joint participation and continued investment from society.

She emphasized, "No matter the size of the donation, every bit of support is an affirmation and encouragement of the educational cause, as well as an important driving force pushing the school to keep moving forward."

Huang Linming, secretary of Tutong Chung Hwa School, said that music education plays an increasingly important role in the modern education system. It is not only part of artistic learning but also helps foster students' creativity, expressive ability, emotional understanding, and team spirit.

He believes that integrating music education systematically into classroom teaching and extracurricular activities helps students achieve all-round growth in both academic and personal development.

Huang Hanhua, principal of Sungai Liang Chung Hwa School, said that although the school’s enrollment is temporarily suspended, the construction of new school facilities is progressing actively. The development of education is not only focused on the present but is also a long-term plan for the future; the school’s future reopening and service to the community still depends on continued attention and support from society.

Zheng Boxing, board member of Seria Chung Hwa School, pointed out that the development of Chinese education relies not only on the construction of the school’s own teaching system but also requires long-term care, participation, and resource support from all sectors of society.

He said that as the current education environment continues to change, the combination of social donations and cultural public welfare activities is gradually becoming an important force for driving sustainable educational development.

All schools unanimously believe that the integration of cultural activities and educational philanthropy provides a new development model for Chinese education and enables social resources to be more effectively transformed into educational motivation, which not only helps improve school running conditions but also further reinforces society’s shared recognition of the value of education.
