(Bandar Seri Begawan, 30th) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei chaired the 226th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas Sdn Bhd (BLNG) and the 112th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) (Second Quarter of 2025) on Tuesday.
The statement noted that this meeting marks the first anniversary of His Majesty serving as Chairman of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) companies and Brunei Gas Carriers Company (BGC).
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office. Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Manaf, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (Energy), Haji Mohd Azmi, and other BLNG and BGC board members. They are also members of the BLNG and BGC board of directors.
At the start of the meeting, His Majesty highlighted in his address the positive operational momentum demonstrated by BSJV and BGC, and emphasized the importance of maintaining this momentum to ensure continual development.
Furthermore, His Majesty encouraged BSJV and BGC to remain resilient amidst the ever-changing global energy landscape, and stressed the importance of forward-looking planning to ensure both companies remain agile and achieve long-term success.
The meeting discussed key areas including safety, operational performance, financial status, and human resource development of Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas Company (BLNG) and Brunei Gas Carriers Company (BGC).
