US Secretary of State Rubio stated that US and Iranian technical teams will continue talks in Switzerland at the end of June.
Rubio indicated that the next round of technical-level negotiations between the US and Iran is expected to begin on June 30, with multiple working groups composed of experts in areas such as nuclear energy and the lifting of sanctions to hold consultations.
According to Rubio, the negotiations will involve professionals from the US State Department, Department of Energy, and other agencies, focusing on nuclear energy, sanctions, and other related topics.
In addition, Rubio reiterated that International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors should "as soon as possible" enter Iran to carry out their work. He stated that allowing inspectors into Iran was a commitment made by the Iranian side, "They need to fulfill this commitment."
On Wednesday night, Rubio arrived in Bahrain on a US military plane, making the final stop of his trip to the three Gulf countries. He emphasized that, regarding the handling of the Iran issue, the US will not compromise the security of its Gulf allies, "We will be fully aligned with our partners in the Gulf region."
