In conjunction with the 69th Malaysian National Day, local musician Danny Koo (许佳麟) collaborated with popular group Alif Satar & The Locos and rising music talent Kidd Santhe to launch a brand-new nationwide single, "Bersama, Kita Tertarik." This passionate track fuses multicultural musical elements and sings out the strength of unity, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams among Malaysians.
The song is inspired by Malaysia’s iconic Teh Tarik culture, using a cup of Teh Tarik as a metaphor for connections between people. The creative team noted that Teh Tarik is more than just a drink—it’s a shared daily ritual for many Malaysians. Whether at a mamak stall or kopitiam, people of different races, languages, and age groups can sit together to sip tea and chat, creating the most natural “microcosm of Malaysia.”
The title of the song, "Bersama, Kita Tertarik," cleverly incorporates this concept. “Tertarik” conveys the idea of being attracted to and connected with each other, and the “Tarik” part refers directly to Teh Tarik, symbolizing the bonds formed between people through a shared culture.

"Bersama, Kita Tertarik" was composed and written by Kidd Santhe, Danny Koo, and Kien Lim, with Kidd Santhe as the producer and Danny Koo serving as co-producer. The arrangement uniquely incorporates traditional instruments from various ethnic groups, blending traditional sounds with modern music to showcase Malaysia's multicultural fusion.
Each of the three music groups brings their own strengths: Alif Satar & The Locos inject passion and energy with their infectious live band style; Danny Koo brings rich musical experience and subtlety; while Kidd Santhe mixes in street music elements familiar to the younger generation, adding a youthful and contemporary feel to the song.
