Malaysian singer Geraldine Gan (颜慧萍, Geraldine) transformed her life experiences over the past few years, along with her mindset after participating in 'Singer Malaysia', into a brand new original single 'To Be Continued'. Through music, she documents her journey of growth, perseverance, and moving forward.
Geraldine took the stage of 'Singer Malaysia' in 2026. Although she ultimately stopped at the breakout round, she does not view this experience as a regret. Instead, she sees it as a chance to start anew. After facing challenges on stage and confronting herself, she became even more certain that music is the path she wants to persevere on. After the competition ended, she returned to singing coaching, performing, and music creation. Away from the spotlight, she, like many others, experienced the confusion, anxiety, and self-doubt of life, but gradually learned not to rush to find all of life's answers.
“Later on, I realized that life doesn't necessarily require hasty answers; living well today—every step counts.” This insight became the core message of 'To Be Continued'. The song was composed and post-produced by music producer Guo Wenhan, while Geraldine partnered with lyricist Jian Rui to co-write the lyrics.
As for the MV, talented singer Colbie Wong (王思涵) was once again invited to direct. The two collaborated again after 'Youth Script'. To present different stages of life, Geraldine invited Danny許佳麟, FuYing王赴颖, Sheng Tianjun, Huang Yumin, Zeng Jieyu, and 4 friends outside the entertainment circle, making a total of 9 surprise appearances. The MV intertwines scenes such as exhibitions, solitude, and gatherings with friends, presenting the pull between ideals and reality. Geraldine hopes that viewers will not only see her story, but also find their own reflections in the lyrics or visuals.
