(MIRI, 20th) Miri police recently carried out the 'Road Bully Crackdown Operation' (Ops Samseng Jalanan) in Taman Tunku, Miri, arresting 13 youths aged between 14 and 20.
According to Miri district police chief, ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the operation was conducted by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division on January 18th (Saturday) from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. A total of 13 motorcycles were seized as evidence for violating Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
In addition, the police issued 61 summonses during the operation, involving various traffic violations such as driving without a license, illegal exhaust modifications, unauthorized motorcycle structural alterations, among others.
ACP Alexson urged parents to closely monitor their children's activities to prevent them from engaging in illegal activities.
The police emphasized their commitment to intensifying enforcement efforts to firmly combat illegal racing and other violations to ensure road safety.
