Local singer Namewee, who is implicated in the Taiwanese female internet celebrity murder case, was allowed police bail and released on Thursday. His representing lawyer arrived at the police station in the afternoon, preparing to handle bail out procedures for him.
According to reporters on site, at around 2:11 PM that afternoon, his lawyer Cheng Qingfeng arrived at the Jinma District Police Headquarters, believed to be there to handle bail out procedures on his behalf.
A police minivan, suspected to be carrying Namewee, subsequently stopped on the road outside the police station lobby. Afterwards, a person exited the vehicle and entered the police station.
However, as of 2:40 PM, the media had still not caught sight of him; it is understood that he must be released on bail by the latest at 5 PM that day.
It is understood that, at his request, he was accompanied by police to Kuala Lumpur General Hospital around noon for a health check.
