(Kuching, 12th) The development of the Pantu area continues to accelerate, with a number of crucial infrastructure projects being launched successively, reflecting the Sarawak government's commitment to improving facilities and enhancing the quality of life in rural communities.
Balai Ringin assemblyman Datuk Snowdan Lawan stated that relocating the Pantu district office to its new site near Kampung Sungai Merah along the Pan Borneo Highway marks an important milestone in the region's development journey.

He said, “The Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) has allocated RM5 million to cover initial project costs.”
Snowdan made these remarks when attending the 'Majlis Merarau' fundraising luncheon organized by St Stephen Church over the weekend.
He further pointed out that, through allocations from the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), the construction of Pantu Square (Panggau Pantu, dataran), costing RM2.2 million, is currently underway.

Snowdan also expressed his gratitude to the government for its continued support via the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR). He mentioned that last year, the government granted an RM800,000 allocation to St Stephen Church, which demonstrates the Sarawak government's inclusive approach to development.
In support of the church's fundraising efforts, Snowdan announced an allocation of RM10,000 to the church management committee through the Rural Minor Projects scheme (MRP), an additional RM5,000 for the church's Women's Fellowship, and the donation of air conditioning units for church use.
Other attendees at the event included local leaders Penghulu Johnny Lumi, Penghulu Obeng, several village chiefs, and members of the Pantu Christian community.
