In Hunan Province, China, a fire truck fell off a cliff on the way back after completing a firefighting mission on the 19th, resulting in the deaths of six firefighters and injuries to one more.
According to Xinhua News Agency, at around 4 p.m., a fire truck from Xinhua County Fire and Rescue Bureau in Hunan had finished a firefighting and rescue mission in Luguan Town and was returning when it accidentally drove off a cliff. Six firefighters died in the line of duty, with one firefighter injured.
An investigation into the cause of the accident, medical treatment for the injured, and other follow-up measures are being carried out by the relevant authorities.
