A landslide occurred in Baguio City, Luzon Island, Philippines, burying three houses under soil, resulting in at least four deaths and six missing, with several others rescued.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the landslide took place around 7 p.m. on Sunday (9th) in the riverside area of Barangay Guisad Surong, Baguio City.
Police stated that, as of Monday morning, rescue personnel had saved seven people. The deceased include a 17-year-old girl, two 9-year-old children, and a 56-year-old man.
Three of those rescued were sent to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Rescue workers have continued search and rescue operations amid intermittent rainfall. Authorities have also evacuated 14 households, totaling 62 people, with another 7 temporarily sheltered at the village committee office.
Authorities are continuing to search for the missing and are closely monitoring local weather and hillside conditions.
