(Kuching, 25th) – A 12-year-old boy from Bintulu had his neck impaled by an iron rod and was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
According to a report issued by the Fire and Rescue Department, after receiving the alert at 5:47am this morning, the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department immediately dispatched personnel to the hospital to assist.
The report stated: "The hospital requested assistance from the Fire and Rescue Department to cut the part of the iron rod lodged in the boy's neck, in order to facilitate a CT scan procedure."
The firefighters subsequently used metal cutters to sever part of the iron rod, while the injured boy remained conscious throughout.
