Car Loses Control and Falls into Ditch, Elderly Man Unconscious

(Lao Yue, 17th) An elderly man was found unconscious after an accident on Jalan Bukit Kelawar, while two other victims sustained only minor injuries. The incident occurred this afternoon when a car lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch.
According to a report released by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Command Center, authorities received an emergency call at 5:37 PM. A fire truck from the Lao Yue Fire Station arrived at the scene at 5:56 PM, with the accident site approximately 18 kilometers from the station.

Operations Commander PBK II Syahnizam stated that the 63-year-old male victim had already been successfully rescued by members of the public before firefighters arrived.
"The victim was unconscious at the time, and the fire brigade immediately cooperated with Ministry of Health (KKM) ambulance personnel to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)," he said in a statement.
The Operations Command Center noted that the other two victims, one adult male and one adult female, suffered only minor injuries. All three victims were subsequently handed over to Ministry of Health personnel and sent to the hospital for further treatment.
He said that a total of nine firefighters and one fire truck were mobilized for this operation, with police and Health Ministry ambulances also assisting in the rescue work at the scene.
