Officially announced on Friday (31), 61-year-old Luo Wen, Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, has been appointed as Party Secretary of Hebei Province, while 61-year-old former Hebei Party Secretary Ni Yuefeng will be assigned to a new post.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the CCP Central Committee has made adjustments to the principal leadership of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee. Luo Wen is appointed as Hebei Provincial Committee Member, Standing Committee Member, and Secretary; Comrade Ni Yuefeng will no longer hold the positions of Secretary, Standing Committee Member, or Committee Member of Hebei Provincial Party Committee. “It is reported that Comrade Ni Yuefeng will be assigned to another post.”
The report states that a meeting of provincial leaders was held in Hebei on Friday, at which Huang Jianfa, the Executive Deputy Minister of the Central Organization Department, announced the central decision. He explained that this adjustment was made by the CCP Central Committee based on the overall situation, actual needs of work, and the development and construction of the Hebei provincial leadership team, and was decided after thorough consideration and prudent research.
Public information shows that Luo Wen is a native of Hengyang, Hunan Province, born in December 1964, and is now 61 years old. He has served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, and Deputy Party Secretary of Sichuan Province, among other roles. In 2022, he became Party Secretary and Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, until this current adjustment. He is also a member of the 20th Central Committee.
Ni Yuefeng was born in September 1964 and is also 61 years old. He previously served as Party Secretary and Director of the General Administration of Customs, among other posts. In 2022, he became Party Secretary of Hebei Province, until this current adjustment. Ni Yuefeng is also a member of the 20th Central Committee.
