Recently, the bank has received reports from customers about suspicious phone calls. The scam usually involves impersonating bank staff and claiming that the customer's account or credit card has suspicious transactions; under the pretext of verification or security, they request account details.
The bank reminds customers not to trust such calls or any requests for account details;
If you receive a suspicious call, please verify through official channels, such as contacting the bank's contact center or visiting the nearest BIBD branch; if you suspect you have become a victim of fraud, please report to the Royal Brunei Police Force and you may bring a copy of the police report to any BIBD branch to submit a complaint.
