Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated that Iran will not give up its right to enrich uranium under any circumstances.
The Iranian News Agency reported on the 27th that Baghaei, in an interview with CNN in Tehran, the capital of Iran, said that if the U.S. goal is to ensure that Iran's nuclear program is not weaponized, then reaching an agreement in the Iranian-American talks would be simple. However, if the U.S. intention is to deprive Iran of its right to peacefully use nuclear energy, then the talks "will be very problematic and could seriously jeopardize the entire negotiation process."
He reiterated that Iran's nuclear program is entirely peaceful in nature, and Iran is committed to maintaining this nature.
He said that the fact that the Iranian-American talks are still ongoing so far means that both sides have reached a certain level of understanding.
Regarding external threats and pressures, Baghaei emphasized that Iran will not succumb to any form of bullying and will respond decisively to defend national security.
