Public Hopes for More Bus Shelters; City Bureau Actively Discussing Solutions

Published at Nov 26, 2024 04:27 pm
(Miri, 26th) Since the activation of Miri City's free smart bus service, it has been well-received by citizens. However, the subsequent issue of insufficient bus shelters has drawn public attention. Many people have remarked, "There are buses, but no shelters, making it inconvenient to wait."

The addition of bus shelters would not only enhance the convenience for citizens using buses but also improve the overall public transportation experience, further promoting the eco-friendly smart bus service.

In response, Miri Mayor Adam Yii stated in an interview that the Miri City Council attaches great importance to this issue and will conduct in-depth discussions with the Public Works Department (JKR), the Ministry of Transport (MOTS), and related bus companies to determine suitable locations for new bus shelters.

Citizens warmly welcome the free smart bus service in Miri City.
