Taiwanese stars Cyndi Wang and Wu Kequn have both focused their careers in China in recent years. Now, rumors have surfaced that the pair often run into each other at airports, and that on flights, Wu is especially attentive—accompanying Cyndi even when she goes to the bathroom—sparking suspicions that their relationship is more than ambiguous.

According to Mirror Weekly, Cyndi Wang and Wu Kequn's connection goes back to 2007, when Wu Kequn revealed in an interview that he liked a female singer in the industry. He even wrote a song, "Paper Man," at the time to express his feelings. In 2008, the two collaborated on the duet "NANANA" and subsequently shot several commercials together, appearing almost like an on-screen couple, though each had their own partners then.
Wang Xinling and Wu Kequn have focused on their work in China recently and are often spotted together at airports. Latest rumors allege they are traveling together with romantic undertones.
In recent years, the two have worked in China and have occasionally performed on the same stage. The public believes they may be using gossip to boost their popularity. Now, sources have revealed that the pair are often seen together at Taipei Songshan Airport. Whenever Cyndi has work in China requiring travel, Wu Kequn is often spotted too. Some passengers claim that on the plane, the two are inseparable, with Wu Kequn even rising to accompany Cyndi when she goes to the restroom, their interaction very much like a couple.

In response to intense fan interest, Cyndi Wang spoke up on social media on the 3rd, quoting lyrics from "Thunder That Strikes You Is On Its Way": "Who is who? Can’t figure out who is who? How can something be made up so convincingly?"—and added a face with a confused expression, suggesting she is responding to rumors of rekindling with Wu Kequn. As for being rumored to go in and out of airports together or having close interactions on planes, Cyndi’s management said: "Recently, all trips to Shanghai were for business with the manager." Wu Kequn's management said that recently they only met Cyndi at events where they were both invited to perform.
