American rap queen Cardi B was recently sued by a security guard who accused her of assaulting him outside an obstetrics clinic in 2018, demanding a staggering US$24 million (about 100 million Malaysian Ringgit) in damages. The case drew widespread attention across the US. However, the jury ultimately ruled that Cardi B bore no responsibility and was fully exonerated.
After the verdict, Cardi B spoke strongly to the media outside the courthouse, admitting the ordeal had been extremely stressful: "This case has been very tough for me—I even missed my child's first day of school!" She also issued a warning to anyone thinking of filing frivolous lawsuits against her in the future: "If anyone dares to file such nonsense against me again, I will countersue and make you pay for it. Don't think that just because I'm a celebrity, I'll quietly pay to settle—that's impossible!"
As Cardi B walked out of the courthouse, a reporter loudly asked her whether she was pregnant, and about her relationships with ex-husband Offset and new boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs. Cardi B immediately lost her temper, snatched a fan's pen, and threw it at the person who asked such intrusive questions. As she left, she angrily shouted: "Stop disrespecting me!"
