While attending the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in France, US Secretary of State Rubio stated on the 27th that US military operations against Iran are expected to conclude at an appropriate time, "We're talking about weeks, not months."
According to the US news site Axios, Rubio said at the ministers' meeting that the operation will last for "2 to 4 more weeks."
In addition, Rubio also stated that the US can still achieve its goals in the military operation against Iran without dispatching ground troops, including destroying Iran's missile and drone capabilities.
He said: "We are able to achieve all objectives without ground troops, but we are always prepared to provide the President with the broadest range of options and to adjust strategies as the situation changes."
He pointed out that the President must be prepared for a variety of contingencies.
He said that the US has not yet received an official response from Iran regarding the "15-point ceasefire" agreement, but believes there is a chance to receive one on the 28th or 29th, and that both sides have exchanged messages.
