(Kuching, 28th) Organized by the Jin-Han-Lian Provincial Chinese Youth League, hosted by the Kuching Ying Chuan Chen Clan Association Youth League, in cooperation with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society Kuching Branch and Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank, the “Warmth in Action: Blood Donation Drive” was successfully held last Sunday.
The purpose of this event was not only to respond to the Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank’s call for blood donations, but also to encourage the public to participate in the life-saving act of donating blood, especially with the hope of attracting more young donors. Participants also had the chance to learn about blood donation requirements and benefits, and become regular donors.
This blood donation activity received an enthusiastic response, attracting 179 caring individuals from different ethnic backgrounds and age groups. In the end, 164 people successfully donated blood.
The organizing and hosting units wish to thank Aeroville Mall for providing the venue, the major Chinese newspapers for their coverage, as well as the various sponsors for their support.
