UAE Suspends All Trade and Financial Relations with Iran

In the early hours of the 19th, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, in light of the continued escalation of regional tensions undermining regional and international peace and security, the UAE has decided to suspend all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran. The resumption time will be announced separately.

Hamili, Director of Strategic Communications at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also refuted allegations regarding the status of economic relations between the UAE and Iran in a statement, reiterating the UAE's firm commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity through dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration, and emphasized that the UAE will continue to safeguard the integrity of the international financial system.

Denial of Missile Launch at UAE

On the 19th, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei denied that Iran had launched missiles at the UAE, stating that the UAE's accusations were "completely groundless."

In a statement issued in the early hours, he expressed regret over the UAE's accusations against Iran, saying the UAE's actions violated the principles of good neighborliness and harmed current efforts to strengthen trust among regional countries and prevent further escalation of insecurity.

He said, "Given that the United States and Israel continue to take malicious actions against regional peace and security—especially considering their track record of conducting 'false flag operations'—the current situation is complex," and regional countries should avoid making baseless accusations against Iran.

The UAE Ministry of Defense stated on the 18th that the UAE's air defense system detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran, one of which fell outside the UAE's territorial waters and the other landed in its territorial waters.
