The Lions Club of Belait Jointly Organizes Diabetes Awareness Campaign with Government Agencies

(Kuala Belait, 30th) In conjunction with Diabetes Awareness Month and World Diabetes Day, the Lions Club of Belait recently collaborated with the Pandan Village Language and Health Bureau to organize a diabetes awareness campaign.

The event was held at the Pandan Village Library in Belait. The organizing committee chairman, Lion Terry Thoo, along with three members of the Lions Club, former chairman Raymond Lee, Lion Alvin Cheong, and Lion Chong Yu Khiong, attended the event to carry out the project. Additionally, retired nurses Connie Leong and Agnes Teo, along with volunteers Julie Shim and Irene Ho, also assisted in the event's execution.

The club recorded the height, weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar level measurements of 33 participants. A brief health consultation was also conducted.
