On June 23, the 2025 Report on the International Communication Influence of Chinese Cities has been released in Beijing, naming Fuzhou as a Rising Potential City of the year. The report notes that Fuzhou has boosted its international influence through built cultural "bridges" and curated scenic landscapes that mountains and sea. In 2024, Fuzhou used "bridges" as a medium and "mountains and sea" as scenery, through the “Bond with Kuliang” China–US Youth Exchange Week, the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, and the Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Fair for opened a dynamic “window of ideas” for dialogue between China and the world.
