Missiles and Drones Deployed: Russia Launches Large-Scale Night Attack on Kyiv

Russia once again launched a large-scale airstrike against Ukraine during the night. According to multiple Ukrainian media reports, from late night on the 13th until the early morning of the 14th local time, Russian forces intensively launched ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones towards the capital Kyiv. Nationwide air raid alarms sounded simultaneously, and multiple areas of Kyiv reported continuous explosions.

The first explosion was reported at around 12:45 a.m., with a second wave of attacks occurring less than twenty minutes later.

Ukrainian officials stated that this Russian airstrike targeted multiple areas throughout Kyiv. At least 11 multi-story residential buildings, medical facilities, and private homes were damaged, with reports of fires in several locations.

Kyiv Mayor Klitschko explained on social media that drone debris fell on a five-story residential building in the Dnipro district, while a fire was also reported on the 12th floor of another building. Firefighters responded urgently.

He described this as a “large-scale enemy attack” and stated that air defense forces had already taken action.

He said at least 11 people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized, including a pregnant woman and a man in “extremely serious” condition.
